‘Use Voxpopme’s Audience’ will send your video survey to Voxpopme’s Influence Community in the US or UK.
‘Use your own audience’ enables you to build a video survey that you can share with anyone using your custom survey link.
This article helps you explore option one by introducing you to Voxpopme’s Influence Community.
What’s Influence?
In short, Influence is a community of video-ready survey respondents in the US and UK. Voxpopme owns and runs the community to offer you instant access to consumers who are ready and willing to answer the questions in your video surveys.
How is it different to ‘use your own’ audience?
When selecting Influence, you can tap into an existing audience that’s ready to engage in video surveys. The community is general population, but you can also layer on demographic criteria and screener questions (depending on your subscription tier). Why? So you can get more specific about who you want your responses from, e.g., I wish to speak to women over the age of 30 that live in households of two or more people.
You can quickly get high-quality video answers to your questions through this approach.
Alternatively, if you need answers from an even more specific audience that isn’t represented in the Influence Community Community, ‘Use your own audience’ is the way to go. By choosing to use your own audience, you’ll generate a survey link which means you can invite people wherever you like. This route is excellent for inviting your customers, prospects, social media followers, website visitors, or anyone else to share their feedback with you (read more on that here).
Why would I want to use this community?
Using Influence is a fast and effective way to get video responses. Our organic recruitment strategy and double opt-in approach for Influence ensures that high-quality community members give you thoughtful feedback and opinions on any questions you ask them.
Adding this option to your subscription in Voxpopme means you can quickly get your video responses from Voxpopme’s Influence Community in the UK, US, or both. You can use this video-ready audience for your total allocation of video survey completes. Or use it in combination with ‘use your own audience’ surveys. So you have the best of both worlds.
How do I purchase Influence?
Purchasing Influence responses is easy and can be done within the Voxpopme platform. To add Influence responses to your monthly recurring plan, click ‘Manage Payments’ from the user icon dropdown:
You will be redirected to the billing area (powered by Stripe). Here, you can select ‘Update plan.’ From there, you will see a list of plans available to you.
Choose the Influence plan you’d like to upgrade to by selecting ‘Continue.’ If you want to keep all your existing plan features and video completes, select the corresponding plan e.g., If you’re on ‘Pro’ now, select ‘Pro + Influence.’
You will be provided with additional information on the new cost, the amount to pay today (this will be pro-rata), and the monthly subscription cost going forward. Once you’re happy, hit ‘Confirm’ to proceed with the new subscription plan. Once confirmed, return to Voxpopme, and start using your new plan.
How do I choose Influence Responses when building my survey?
Now you’ve purchased Influence, it’s time to get your video responses from the community. To do this:
Login and hit ‘create project’ to build your survey.
Selected a survey template
Fill out your project details
On the ‘Choose your audience’ page, select US, UK, or both markets and hit ‘Use the Voxpopme Audience.’
Select the number of respondents you want for each market
Fill in the remaining project details and hit launch to start getting responses

Do I have to use Influence for my full video complete allocation?
No, you can still select ‘your own audience’ when building your surveys to get video responses from your customers and other target audiences. Buying Influence responses gives you the option to tap into a video-ready community in addition to using your own audiences.
Will my Influence responses rollover?
No, Influence responses are tied to your monthly plan period and will reset your total allocation at the start of a new billing cycle.
Can I add and remove this monthly (i.e., is it recurring)?
Yes, you can change your plan, including your Influence subscription, at any time. You will be charged for your existing plan as per usual for the current billing cycle. Any downgrades or cancellations of your plan will come into effect from the first day of your new billing cycle.
Can I use Influence during my trial?
Yes. We highly recommend running a survey with Voxpopme’s audience while access to the Influence Community is free in your 14-day trial period.
